On Monday/Tuesday I did the 24 hour fast, 1pm to 1pm, and I got rather hungry towards the end of it. I drank so much water I was worried that I may be drinking too much. The first 22 hours, however, were a doddle.

But I got through it and have lost weight 2 days running, even returning to normal food and having a few drinks. There may be something in this.

Today I’m trying it again but on a calendar day. I’ll have the same 2 main meals as last time – eggs & asparagus, Thai beef salad – which leaves me about 200 calories for a snack at lunch.

I’m feeling positive and am looking forward to seeing the scales tomorrow morning.
